SP2 is a long barrel, short insert double reed with two 10 mil reeds sitting on top of our 003 insert. It has the ability to be very aggressive even though its a double reed, almost like a double reed cutdown. SP1 had a sticking problem, so the top reed on the SP2 has been modified with two dimples and we have not had a sticking problem since then. It also gives it a raspier piercing sound.
